How many of you love your job? I can instantly say without a second thought that I love mine right now. Am I busier? In terms of hours? Possibly. It depends. The hours I put in are hours that I WANT to put in. I have a CHOICE. As opposed to working for someone else, when all the millions I make for them go into the company, and I see only a small percentage in bonus payouts (even a 6 months salary is considered a small bonus payout if you compared it to the kaching that goes in), whereas in this business, I am seeing growth every single month. It is very exciting!!! Because all my hard work and sweat goes into my own bank account and I can in turn help others.
What are the factors that makes one love their job?
1. Interest / Passion
Firstly, the job you do must have your interest. For example, if you were s sewer shit cleaner, you must have a passion for poo before being able to love your job, right? Some people are creative and love doing things that squeeze their creative juices. Some are scientific and need to put logic into play with experiments. Some are mathematical and love numbers. For me, I love money. Period. And I love the fact that having money allows me to help others. From the age of 6, I was already making money and helping others. An Indian classmate with oiled curly hair called Mayamee (we used to call her Maggi Mee) needed me to complete her school homework in Standard 1 (Government School) and I charged her 50 cents. When I was 9, I started a money syndicate at school to help others make money by collecting 20 cents from all the St Mary’s School students and made a payout to them every week. I have NO IDEA where I got the idea from but I got caught out and was warned to stop. When I was 15 I think it was when I was first introduced to community service. It was then that I developed a passion for helping others who were weaker and used to help the less fortunate by spending time with them. Does your current job make you excited? Do you look forward to getting up extra early every day to go into work, or get started on your work? I am!!!
2. Renumeration
So assuming you love your job or hate your job, this would work out as a balance towards your renumeration, agree? If you love your job for whatever reason, you probably wouldn’t mind getting paid less, but if you hated your job then it would make sense to want to get paid more because it is already painful to go into work every day. Correct? I am super blessed because I get both. I not only love my job but am very well paid considering I have only started doing this business for the last 7 months and out of that worked less that 6 months. The hours I put in? It is hard to say because it is happening round the clock but it is mostly communications with people which I find easy to do so it comes naturally to me. Once a week or twice a week, I make a trip to the office and take a lovely drive to a customer’s home to deliver some products. It is very enjoyable! I also help my team members who do not have a car or cannot leave the home front to run their business for them. For those who have no experience, I give them a post schedule so they know what to post on Facebook. Every situation is possible between me and my team members. Some are full time working Moms yet doing this good work, and in turn, I just help them do whatever it is that needs doing. Some merely pass me phone numbers and get me to contact whoever it is and once I make a sale, the profit goes back to the person who gave me the number. Easy! The bigger joy though comes from seeing and hearing from all my customers as their health continues to improve and their lives get transformed. You just cannot imagine the joy. Something money cannot buy. And it is really the products at work, no glory for me at all. I merely let them know that such a thing exists. But already by that mere gesture, some of them offer gratitude in phenomenal amounts. I am blessed indeed.
3. Environment
Is this important? Absolutely. Why? Because you will be facing this day in day out and if you cannot heck it, you will start getting into a deep depression. The environment includes not only the facilities that you work in but also the people who surround you on a daily basis. The environment should have a happy and positive vibe, one that you again feel happy to step into every single day and not dread. I used to work at the Petronas Twin Towers with top of the range furniture and had a beautiful office with a swanky view to the point I used to imagine what I wouldn’t give to have sex up there on my work desk! SSsshhhhh. Never happened just for the record. CCTV cameras were everywhere. And then I also got headhunted to work in a client’s home and although it was a lovely home with a pool, I had no company and did not last very long at all. I have also been in very negative environments where back stabbers and ruthless kicks make it their livelihood to make others miserable. When faced with such a predicament, you take charge to change things and if it is not possible, then be brave enough for other alternatives. There are ALWAYS better options. You just need time to find them and in the meantime, just take the next best thing available. Always remember that when one door closes, a better one opens. That has always been the case for me anyhow but I believe that if you choose to find happiness and success, you WILL find it.
So why do I love my current job so much?
1. I work as hard or as little as I want. Everything is on MY terms.
2. The harder I work, the more income I make. I don’t have anyone to lick ass with. Period. Strangely though, I have started earning an even bigger income without working as hard now. I guess that is the beauty of this particular network marketing business.
3. I have the satisfaction of growing my team in the right direction, how fast or how slow I want.
4. I get to work from home or the office or anywhere else that I want.
5. I get to be with my kids any time that I want.
6. I have the opportunity to learn about new locations, sites, discover new restaurants, etc.
7. I have the opportunity to meet tons of amazing people. And admittedly some bad ass ones but thank God only 1 or 2.
8. I am helping SO MANY PEOPLE!!!!! Helping them heal from their suffering, helping them live happier, healthier and better.
9. I get to go on free incredible holidays!!! I don’t think I’ve ever travelled so much in a year. A fully paid fantabulous holiday to The Maldives Islands earlier this year with Club Med (trust me, the company really takes good care of you. I even flew Business Class; and Japan at the end of September and Sydney in November, Turkey and Italy next year)
10. I help women gradually increase their residual income which is so. damn. gratifying.
Is there anything I do NOT love about this job? *thinking hard*
I couldn’t think of any so I asked my husband and he laughed. Yes, there is one thing that is not ideal but it is a small enough thing to not spoil the broth if you know what I mean. It is having the misfortune of having to deal with crazy people and thankfully, not so many. Some people are indecisive, some are demanding, some are ungrateful, some are negative, some are annoying, some are untrusting, etc etc etc. But you know, these people all have a chip and should be put into the same bucket. I don’t really have time for them but I accommodate them nevertheless. I waste quite a lot of time with them actually!!! Because I’m too nice to say piss off. But it comes with the territory and I accept it. You will meet crazy people everywhere. I’m just grateful they form 1% of the general population.
Loving your job is essential to your wellbeing because otherwise you will be generating an unnecessary amount of free radicals within your body and eventually you will start having health issues. What for??? Do what you love and love what you do and soon everything will work itself out for the better.
