Someone else blogged about Tee :-)

Someone I’ve known for 22 years.

“On an aside, I had lunch with an ex-schoolmate of mine from secondary school days yesterday – and it was great fun to catch up with some gossip – who’s up to what now – reminiscing about ex-teachers – catching up on life in general. She has a darling of a daughter – VERY prococious, VERY chatty, VERY intelligent, VERY cheeky, VERY dramatic. Reminded me of Mel when Mel was her age.

At one point, my friend kept getting these phone calls from family members as she is embroiled in some family drama of sorts (which one of us isn’t!?!) – and her 5-year old looked at me with her bright sparkling round eyes, and with a mouthful of cheeseburger said, “I always tell my mommy that if she gets a phone call that will make her angry, then just ignore it” .. and I looked right back at her and said, “And you, sweetheart, are absolutely RIGHT” … and I was rewarded with her dimpled grin.

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again – out of the mouth of babes!”

Just sharing my pride with my friendship of so long 🙂 It’s not the amount of time that you spend together that makes the difference. It’s the bitch meter compatibility!

And whilst we’re here, I just wanted to share also that Tee has been a real darling of late reminding me to just ignore those phone calls from people who piss me off and stress me out all the time. She is only four yet sensitive enough to absorb what is going on. When I tell her that I cannot ignore these people because they are family who need me, she despite loving them to death, loves me to death more. She has made a choice that even though she loves certain family members a LOT, she cares more about my well being. Isn’t that touching??? This girl is really mature and smart. For all the toys that other people give her, she knows who really spends the quality time with her. She knows who’d break her back for her when push comes to shove. I love my little girl.

And then the Hubs comes over to break my bubble. He tells me that Tee is only concerned about me being stress free so she won’t get the brunt of my stress!!! Urgh, what a wet blanket! He’s just jealous!

  1. If mommy is stressed, mommy would be like a siow-char-boh. So better to have a STREE FREE MOMMY.
In short, you have a smart girl there…regardless. 🙂
