I do think that the standard of English at T1’s school is sufficient (to my standard) although I have nothing to compare with. I’m assuming they do the same stuff at the other British schools??? Anyone???

This was a piece that the kids had to read, understand and learn new vocabulary in the first semester.

I can imagine that many kids at 8 will not know some of the words here. Does anyone have a kid who knows all the words here? I know one such genius and it ain’t T1.

Earlier this year when she did this exercise, she circled in red all the words she didn’t know. 4 months later, I’m asking her those words again and she still doesn’t know! *smacks head*. The only words she knows and remembers out of the lot from Semester One is cogs and infantile. I guess at least there is progress. *sigh*

The green coloured words are words that rhymed.
