It is now 2.43am and I’ve just returned from a fabulous Sheila Majid concert at the KLCC convention center attended by Tun Dr Mahathir. He and wifey stayed throughout the whole concert despite how late it was and bless his heart, the old man gave her a standing ovation. He is looking strong and well.

Sheila Majid – I loved some of her songs (Antara Anyir dan Jakarta, Aku Cinta Padamu, Sinaran, Lagenda, Memori, Warna etc) in the 80s/90s when I was in London and tears welled in my eyes when those familiar tunes reverberated my heart strings. At the fast beats, we bopped till we dropped. Only the ex-prime minister’s row wasn’t bopping. Almost…..

The girl rocks and she can still hold a crowd, even when the crowd comprised a big portion of Mak Datins in their head gear. She’s come a long way – 20 years in the local music industry, and here to stay forever.
