I have a chest cramp

xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

Uhuh. Is there such a thing?

Yesterday was Tee’s first day at school. She forced requested for me to stay with her for half an hour before I left and kept looking towards my direction for the distrust that I would just walk out when she wasn’t looking. At one point I thought she would get a stiff neck or walk smash into a wall.

I felt sorry for her because she was tugged, absolutely stretched…….Half of her wanted to cling onto her Mama, the other half wanted so much to join in the fun with her friends and show off. She loves showing off. Their first task was to talk about their holiday where the kids took turns to tell each other about their holiday. Tee, of course, couldn’t wait to tell everyone about hers to Chiangmai and all about the size of elephant poop. No wonder she’s so popular at school.

I was intent on keeping her awake all day so I could have the night off from her passing out early, but by 4pm, I was dying for a nap. How does one keep up with a three year old who keeps asking you about why walls are vertical and demands you play with her 250% of the time; that means your eyes have to be on her 500% of the time and your voice can only talk to her. You cannot talk to the table, you cannot talk to the phone, you cannot talk to the TV. You’re not even allowed to talk to yourself.

So I had this brainwave to do an exercise video together which started out great because she was so excited but by the third minute warm up, she said she was going to do her own version of exercise, the lazy way. And then after the fifth minute, she said she was off. So I continued with it and she didn’t bug me for a whole hour as everytime she talked to me, I’d threaten that she’d HAVE to do the exercise, otherwise not to talk till I finished.

That’s why I have chest cramps. My whale body has been twisted like the wringing of wet clothes and then slapped on the concrete ground about seventy times. I’m now the very dry, damp tea towel that’s hanging flat out on the clothesline. Totally limp.

It was a Cindy Crawford POST-NATAL exercise video, by the way.

You can stop laughing now.
