Touching gestures from family members

xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

My brother (the one from Oz) called me just now to ask if I wanted him to bring me some lunch. He must have heard from Mom that I was sick or maybe he read my blog. I was really touched. As he is the man about town who is more interested in doing his own thing than bringing lunch for his sister! We don’t exactly live near each other!

Then my Mother called to say that I should have a blood test done tomorrow to rule out dengue fever. Yikes. I didn’t even think of that! What if I have dengue! Whatever it is, I am praying hard that Tee doesn’t contract it because we are travelling soon. Oh God, please keep my Tee safe from any illness!!!

Edited to add:

Oh, and my Mom offered to take care of Tee tomorrow if she is going to stress her Daddy out so much. 2 days of taking care of Tee and I can see that he is really stressed out. He already said he wants a holiday AWAY from the both of us. This morning, whilst he was nagging Tee to finish her breakfast, she said, “Grumble, grumble, grumble! You’re such a grumpy pot, Daddy!”

He lost it and said he was going to put her OUTSIDE our front door and let’s see who will be doing the grumbling then. Oh, I love that daughter of mine. She has a real chilli padi mouth!
