That’s what Godpa Dave calls it. Bless Godpa Dave, he makes it a point to visit us every time he happens to be in the region. He leads such a busy life traveling the world that he never knows which city he’s in most days. Before he visited us, he was in London, then Australia, then Singapore. He left KL on Sunday, arrived home in New York on Monday, and had to be in Miami for Tuesday and before the month is over (that would be in the next NINE DAYS), he has to be in India and China. There is just so much work around the world that need these specialists entertainment architects.

Godpa Dave’s firm designed the Hollywood stage set for the Oscars in the last 2 years but this year, they declined as they were too busy. Poor Godpa Dave, he really is married to his work but when he’s here with us, he gives the girls, especially T1 his undivided attention so we had a weekend babysitter. Yay!

Boy, was he was glad that this happened only once a year. Anyone who isn’t married with children will not understand just how demanding active children can get.

This year, Godpa Dave stayed at the Westin Hotel and paid a whopping RM780++ for a room (not a suite) on the Executive Floor. OUCH! Is that what rooms cost these days??? It was just a small room, nothing fancy! For that price, I’d expect a full-time masseuse on call!!! And we weren’t even aware of the Executive Lounge with complimentary food and ordered room service instead!! Pffft….

Every year when Godpa Dave comes, we’d spend our entire weekend with him at the hotel and the girls would have their naps there if necessary and bounce on his bed and mess up his bathroom, have a bubble bath,  and ask him for lots of things…….like if they could have his toiletries, or pens or ipad……or toys……he always brings T1 STUFF from his travels.

Here, the 2 monkeys are kept quiet with some paper and pens……….

This is what T1 wrote – a diary of her day (that is one sentence!), and for your curiosity, that is a bicycle below ringing its bell automatically with a passenger carriage. LOL.

And this is T2’s work – it is in code and says, just wait till I get it with my sister……

Then T2 climbed onto T1 and started playing horsey, which meant T1 could no longer write nor draw properly. T2 does this ALL THE TIME. Even when T1 is doing her homework, she’d go up to her and nudge her or do something to piss her off. Then the wars begin.

The horse collapsed from frustration after 2 seconds. By the way, that is my gift from Godpa Dave below that T2 is holding. A pouch from New York filled with some Kiehl’s goodies – full sized Abyssine moisturiser, Abyssine eye cream, toner, hand cream and lip cream. *HEART*
