Tee’s cognitive development, if you can call it that!

Tee is an expert on the ways of the world because her father is constantly teaching her how things work. In their day to day lives, the Hubs would tell her where water comes from, how rainbows are made, how the planets rotate in the solar system, why the sea is the colour it is, how food digests……….these are all boring to me. *yawn* Actually, I don’t know the answers to them so I coudn’t even begin to think of teaching her facts like that. SSHHhhhhhh………I can teach her how to make a good buy. Hahaha….!!

Since her knowledge is deeper than mine *blush*, she loves showing off at every opportunity. For example, if I make a passing comment to the Hubs such as, “Hmm…..looks like ALam FLora is on holiday again, look at all the leaves on the ground?!” Tee must, Must, MUST……….add to our conversation to say, “It’s autumn, that’s why!!” but she forgets that we don’t have autumn here. And when we correct her, she has difficulty in accepting it and will keep stressing that it’s autumn. *roll eyeballs*

Or if a car is stuck stationary along a highway, she will make her own deductions that the car has run out of gas, or that it is a naughty man driving that car because that is not a parking lot! He shouldn’t be parking there! Or the car has something broken and needs to go to the mechanic. Haha….nobody asks her. She just has to talk all the time thus finds things to say. ALL THE TIME.

This morning, I was rushing her with her breakfast as she is always so slow…..yaking and yaking and yaking. I scolded her as we were rushing to leave the house, “Hurry up! You are always so slow. Eat faster. Look at me!!! I had more cereal than you, I started later and I am already finished. What’s up with that? Don’t talk so much!! JUST EAT!!!”

“Mommy, your mouth is BIG. You can eat faster. My mouth is so small. I am only a little girl.”

URGHH!!!! I felt like strangling her.
