Last year, I would go every Wednesday to school just to watch T1 swim. Of course, I had much better and more important things to do but it was something I just had to do. Who in the world would want to BAKE in the scorching sun with a cranky, hot, sweaty baby in tow for an hour watching a bunch of 5 year olds go crazy in the water? I’m crazy, we’ve established that.

The view wasn’t so bad…….

Watching her progress was encouraging but getting accidentally splashed was annoying. Water is usually not a problem for me but when I’m hot and sweaty and flustered, every little thing annoys me. Even chocolate.

T2 loved watching her Che-Che swim too but for most days was too hot and cranky. Did I say cranky? Not to mention heavy! After an hour that is.

But despite all that, I am proud I did it. The point is, I was there. And that made all the difference to her.
