13 Days to Christmas!

Yes, it is THAT soon!!!

This year, Christmas for us will be away and it will be HAPPY, LOUD and BOISTEROUS; but most importantly, it will be with loved ones connecting from throughout the region and all being at the same place, same time and crazy as we are, we have agreed to lug all our presents to said destination and back. It will be a cold, outdoor Christmas and the kids will have tons of fun in the garden of merry nostalgia.

I have only a few days before we go yet so much to do. I haven’t done the presents for the trip, only presents for friends and family who are not going and held on with presents for the trip because the thought of having to lug presents all the way there and back was breaking me out in cold sweat. But I know what to do now.

What are my thoughts for the Christmas Season?

For myself personally, it’s been one heck of a year! So many changes and I’ve done so many firsts this year, all whilst being an extremely busy working Mom. I’ve been running all year (literally and non) and actually ran my first race this year. Nothing has knocked us down or perhaps, I’ve been too busy to even notice! That really is how busy I’ve been. It isn’t any point listing all the things we did and good luck we’ve had this year but allow me just to say that if you want good to happen to you, then first you have to do good without expecting a single thing back.

Many people would only do things depending on what’s in it for them whether the returns are material or emotional but we need to learn to be more volunteer-y, loving and caring without any expectations. Don’t live for anyone but yourselves but live with love, lots of it. Shed any ounce of negativity within your soul and don’t even ask why you are the way you are (if you wished your neighbour’s cat dead), drop the bad thoughts of yourself (of how you may be the worst Mom on Planet Earth cuz, hey, you may be the best Mom on Planet Venus!), don’t think bad of others and keep doing these building on these positivity exercises until it becomes a good habit that bad thoughts no longer enter nor exist in your head (and this includes gossiping and bitching, ladies!). Whilst some may be afraid to be taken advantaged of when seemingly kind, open your hearts and have faith. Everything happens for a reason. Allow it to.

If you are sick (mentally or physically), I pray for your good health and strength for recovery. If you are sad, I pray for your finding that there really is nothing to be sad about. If you are cold physically, I pray that you be warmed with a woolly blanket, hot soup and kindness that will melt your heart and if you are cold mentally, I pray that your heart softens a little everyday starting from that little black dot within it so that everything turns pink again one day (EVERYTHING is possible). If you are struggling financially, I pray that you find the wisdom to manage your finances, I pray for your discipline to not overspend, and I pray for the wind of money to blow your way. If you are selfish, I pray for your knowledge to become more selfless. If you are stressed out, I pray for you to find that inner calm……If you are OK, I pray for you to be even more OK and if you are very happy, then please help me help those who aren’t there.

I’ve been given the opportunity to have a clearer vision of people whom I’ve been praying for to have their hearts mended. There are some haters in the world and I pray for them for their hearts to heal.

So where does that leave us after all that praying???

Not in Church, that much I know!

Seriously, my dearest readers, I want all of you to have the best Christmas EVER as we close 2011 together to open a brand new exciting year in less than two weeks. How are we going to make change? How are we going to make a difference? How are we going to move forward? How are we going to find what we are looking for? Do we even know what we are looking for?

As for me, I want my family to continue growing healthy and happy and I want my mother to get well.

Wishing all of you love and light xxx
