Mamapumpkin??? Once upon a time, she designed buildings and interiors of corporate offices and on the rare occasion, homes. Now, she cleans poop and is student of a patience management course. From the drawing board as a London Architect to the realities of Motherhood, she has certainly learned many lessons in humility. And then others.....
To succeed in the corporate world, first succeed with your kid as the happy boss. Seriously.
This blog is about Mamapumpkin: A crazy, demented Mom who cares full time, alone, without any help, for an even crazier preschooler AND a baby with a boob addiction problem.
She writes anything that comes out of her head, mostly without thinking first, which almost always gets her into trouble (according to her husband, whom she considers the love of her life.......on a good day).
Her 2 pet monkeys drive her towards challenge after challenge, 24/7. Day after Day.....and by the way, her parents are Muslim, her in-laws Buddhist, she's Catholic and her Hubs, an Atheist. She's thinking her kids should be Hindu, just to complete the rainbow religion cycle.
Gotta love it.
She'd love to hear from you : Mamapumpkin at gmail dot com

Today, I spent an entire day learning how to get my blog feed to work AND my email subscription button at the top right. I have wanted to do this for the last year but never had the time to scour the net looking for just exactly how to nip the bugger in the butt. I had tried several times but failed for some reason or other.
For those of you who are as website illiterate as I was when I first started, a blog feed is not how much food you feed your blog. Rather it is a time saving tool that enables one to read many, many blogs or websites by entering only one site. This saves you lots of time from clicking on every single website and waiting for every single website to load. *yawn* If you’re in Malaysia and on Streamyx where I live, you will know how boring this can be, the process of clicking and then grabbing a sandwich; another click, another pee; another click, read a book; another click, make a coffee; another click, take a nap……you know EXACTLY what I’m talking about. And for the rest of you from the US (half the readers of this blog are from there), don’t make me jealous! *pout*
So. I’m sure it could have taken 3 hours had my internet connection not had PMS but we can’t control these things. C’est La Vie. Nevertheless, I am SO PLEASED that I finally got it done. If I can get at least FIFTY people who want to learn how to do this by merely following my simple instructions rather than waste an entire day learning how to do this, I will write up a simplified tutorial, a dummies guide if you may, just for you. Just so you don’t have to go through what I did, a lot of pain and procrastination. And a lot of wasted time. And money.
It is useful in that your readers can include you into their respective feed readers easily and it’ll keep them happy. On top of that, your readers can subscribe to your blog posts via email and I find that so useful. If you prefer to have my posts directly into your email inbox, kindly click on the top right button to add your email address. FIND IT.
If you get sick of me, you can always UNSUBSCRIBE.
*happy camper – lalalalalala……*

Have you ever wondered where the above saying comes from? I have no idea but I’m so busy that I’m typing at top speed.
My Mother-in-Law arrives this Friday which means 4 whole days of no work. Well, no income earning work
I have soooooooo much to do.
When I first started this blog a few years ago, it was just an outlet. It has now metamorphosized into an income generator and with the help of some wonderful people, I am learning more and more everyday. Don’t you worry, I’ll be happy to share everything I know once I get myself sorted and figure things out.
This week/month, my task is to read all 1700 posts on this blog (I believe that alone takes several days from dusk till dawn according to one of my readers, Pauline Funmom, let alone work on them!) and fine tune them, rename the titles if necessary and change the category names so that the blog works more efficiently. I also need to add new Tags to all posts and then play around with Adsense. There is a definitely a plan.
The other blogs will just have to stand in line.
This is on top of caring for Tee, entertaining her, cooking, cleaning, pricking my fingers, documenting my food diary for gestational diabetes, organising the home for baby’s arrival (very low priority right now, sorry Baby…) and having some what of a life. What life? Ok, the life of eating some mango and chatting to the Hubs (the only adult I seem to see these days) .
It’s the only life I have.
Oh, I can feel the stress……but the adrenaline rush excites me!

I couldn’t access all my websites for the last 3 days because well……I had no idea why. I could access them from my phone, my friends could access them from wherever they were, so I deduced that it was the Streamyx connections up to no good again. I would click, wait for half an hour and things still didn’t load. That’s the reason for my MIA.
Today, I am at Mom’s and Streamyx is slow here too! So I finally picked the phone up to call them. Things are a little faster but honestly, we pay for a 1Mb line but we’re only getting a download speed of 0.34Mb/s. Streamyx told me that if things are still slow, to call them back and they’d escalate the case. Frankly, I’ve already wasted an hour of my day here trying to get some work done and I can’t be bothered to be on the phone again.
At my own home though, we have applied for a 4Mb line. Of course, this means that we probably would get a 1Mb connection but at least it’s better than paying for a 1Mb line and then getting a 0.4Mb connection. But guess what? We can’t get this 4Mb line till the end of the year because there just aren’t any available right now. *sigh*
How much revenue have I lost in the last 3 days? I wonder how much it costs for small businesses to apply for a line and I wonder if their lines are more dependable.

I’ve been busy doing a lot of technological housekeeping, if you know what I mean. Boy, is it time consuming!!! Thank goddness, Tee stays back in school twice a week now so I have 12 uninterrupted hours of work while she’s at school.
I wanted to ask if readers were more interested to read on this blog:
1. About me
2. About Tee
3. About Useful Stuff
4. About my thoughts
5. About what we do and where we’ve been
I’m curious.

Tee has recently asked to stay back in school for after school activities. What happened to Mama time? Am I THAT boring? *sigh*
My girl is really growing up and the school doesn’t help as they shower her with so much love and attention and FUN. She loves her teachers. She loves school. She has never once said she didn’t want to go to school.
So as of next week, Mama is going to have these EXTRA hours till 3pm. Wow!!! What am I going to do???
*************************************************
Tee attended piano lessons yesterday after a 2 week holiday and her teacher was really impressed that she remembers all her notes. She asked me, did she practise everyday? I told her she opened the piano twice over the two weeks but I have no idea if she practised or not because I wasn’t paying any attention. Now, I’m wondering if she really practiced or if she just has a darn good memory!
**************************************************
Recently at school, Tee has been really proud that she has been promoted to doing the next level of Maths International School syllabus and talks about how she can’t wait till she gets to level 2C – that’s the end of Primary 2 going on to Primary 3 at International School.
My girl is in such a rush to grow up. I worry about her. What more, she will be going to a LOCAL school next year where the Math is MUCH easier than what she is doing now. I sure hope she doesn’t get demotivated…..

It really does. This last week or two, I’ve been working my ass off. Until my body ached all over and I cannot sleep at night, two nights in a row. Just suffering from over use of the bum. And brain.
Last night, I couldn’t sleep till 8am and I had to wake at 9.15am, yet here I am trying to finish up some assignments.
Yesterday, I spent the whole day and night reading up on search engine operations and considered purchasing a software for doing some keyword analysis. It all got a little too complicated for my brain and I told the Hubs, “Fuck it. Fuck this. It’s too complicated. I’m just going to do what I do best and write from my heart. If it works, it works. If the titles don’t get hits, so be it. Other titles would.” And the Hubs, being the ever supportive husband that he is, nodded.
OK, whatever makes you not stress out, honey.
I had peace of mind after that. My job then is just to keep writing….a free flow of thoughts.
Well, this morning I had an influx of offers and suddenly my income is doing very well for just this first week of May. God is really paying me for my hard work!!!

Ever since I took on this task of earning more income from home, I haven’t turned the TV on at all. Not for a whole 3 weeks. I’ve been working my ass off, every single free hour I have, between 6-10 hours everyday. Of course, there are clothes that need to be kept. Of course, there is Tee’s homework to look into. Of course, there are dreaded tasks in the To Do List but man, it’s sure much more fun doing this than that!
In 2.5 months time, our lives will change forever yet I am still the world’s biggest procrastinator. Tee’s piggy banks need emptying so we can deposit her money into the bank. That has been on the To Do List for 2-3 months. Each room in the home needs reorganising, that has been sitting on the To Do List for a few years *cowers from the Hubs in fear*. There are expenses to be done, 1 month overdue now. House cleaning? Let’s not go there…..
I just need this time to quickly set up my business so that when the baby arrives, I can hopefully generate some residual income. Oh, and guess what? I’ve been shortlisted to perform a radio interview talking as a professional Mom. I never quite saw myself that way but since they’ve called me that, it does sound quite nice. Professional Mom. It almost makes me want to dress up!
