12 hours with my in laws from Kota Bharu

    Friday, October 24th, 2008

At 9am this morning, Tee and I dashed out the door like professional sprinters running errands for the in laws, and I kissed my husband’s toes for canceling the plumber’s visit today as I really would have broken down to the floor and cried my eyeballs out.
After completing our errands with breakfast on the go […]

Getting pregnant with the help of traditional Chinese herbs

    Sunday, October 5th, 2008

I am usually a skeptic when it comes to traditional Chinese medicine what with the recent milk scandal in China et al. It has gone horribly wrong before for people I know but it has also worked for some. For me personally, I have gone to the Chinese medicine shop to tell them I had […]

    Learning Mandarin as a pre-schooler

    Sunday, October 14th, 2007

I’ve been doing some research of late about Mandarin classes to decide just how far we want to equip Tee with the language. I have investigated Skylace, BaoBei, Kuen Cheng and talked to people who studied the language at various levels.
Tee has had a full time Mandarin teacher in class ever since she started playschool, which […]

Thou shall honour thy grandparents in KLIA

    Thursday, September 20th, 2007

    The Hubs is in Bahrain.
It is the kid and I.
    Home alone.
I got a call this evening from Tee’s grandparents informing us that they will be in Kuala Lumpur tomorrow evening from 5pm to midnight for a long transit to Shanghai. They hinted for us to visit so they could see their ’sing kang pow pay’. […]

    Sleeping Beauty’s Castle……………

The castle disappeared. It was SO magical. The finale.

    Hong Kong Disneyland Part 3

The Carousel - every little girls’ dream…..

    Tee’s favourite ride in Disneyland.

Minnie adored her. Countless shots with Tee till the queue behind got impatient.

Doing her own shopping. Camera RM90. Mickey Helicopter RM40. Baby Mickey T-Shirt RM65. Stickers per strip RM15. Mickey box of Belgian Chocolates RM36.

Hong Kong Disneyland Part 2 - The Welcome Parade!

    Sunday, June 24th, 2007

My little girl watches in fascination despite being rudely awakened by loud, blasting, hip-hop music.

…..just to give you a taste of the Disneyland parade. Atmosphere was superb. Music was brilliant. Mickey, Minnie, Donald, Ariel, Cinderella, Sleeping Beauty, Snow White, Alice and all their buddies, were jiving to the groove. It was great.

    Living in Hong Kong

    Saturday, June 23rd, 2007

    Would you live here?

    or here?

    or here?

The residential landscape in Hong Kong gives me the creeps…

RM1.5 million for a shoebox 550 square feet flat in a location that’s not hot. For that amount, you could get 3-4 times more space in the hottest locale. Just out of interest, a salesgirl in a Sungai Wang kind of […]

    Holiday Home in Hong Kong

    Saturday, June 23rd, 2007

I wouldn’t mind having a holiday home on the hills, assuming there are much less hazy days!

Hong Kong Island on a gloomy hazy day

    Saturday, June 23rd, 2007

Sorry, I don’t have the software to stitch 2 photographs together so you’ll just have to make out this blur panoramic view. It was even blur to the naked eye! Oh dear, you can’t see anything, can you? *sigh* What a waste of time….sorry.

    Less important than a HKD30 T-Shirt

    Thursday, June 14th, 2007

    That would be me.
We have purposefully taken up travel insurance for hospitalisation overseas just in case Tee or myself, God forbid, needed some medical attention during our holiday. Just before leaving for the airport, I am reminded anxiously if I have packed along dozens of Ventolin (my inhalers).
    Because.
Should I start gasping for air at any […]

Blogging holiday before the real holiday

    Sunday, June 10th, 2007

4 days to go. Before Hong Kong Disneyland. Tee starts school tomorrow. 2 weeks of school holiday and I have already forgotten how much needs to be done. Damn those lingering pregnancy hormones. Get out! Get out! So much to organise. Father’s Day. ETC.
I will be working hard in my dungeon till it is all […]

    Everything from China is condemned

    Tuesday, May 29th, 2007

Ever since my MIL returned from a holiday in China, she’d been harping on and on about how dirty the way they prepared food was, how they put dogs into cans, how they used infinite amounts of chemicals in anything that can earn them an extra buck, how they fed steroids to pigs and fruit…..etc.
    So………..we’re […]
