Technically, a 2 year old needs an average of 1-3 servings of milk in a day to maintain a healthy balanced diet. She also needs calcium, and although that can be derived from food sources, the current working lifestyle of busy parents wouldn’t have time for that. Hence milk becomes the easiest way for kids to get calcium into their bodies.
But how does one make the choice for WHICH milk when there are so many milk brands out there??? It’s completely mind boggling, isn’t it?
When my first daughter was born (T1), I was completely clueless and resorted to trial and error but these days, there is so much information available such as discussion forums. Let’s face it, we only have so many people that we can ask and does that always make a good enough research source?
I would offer T2 fresh milk if I could but she is addicted to the sugary taste of her current growing up milk. However, this month, I will be on a one month sugar detox so my girl will follow me by changing her milk too to Anmum Essential. We’re just waiting for her current tin to finish and then we’ll switch and keep offering it to her until she takes to it. If she rejects it for a whole week, then I’ll think again.
Check out this video I found online:
Other mums out there have the same thinking and are sharing the same things about Anmum Essential. Apparently the milk although with no added sugars does not have ‘fake’ sugar in it either but still has the advanced nutrients for brain development such as Gangliosides and DHA.
We’ll I’m going to transform and try it and I’ll let you know if what they say above is true or not!

hey Patsy, maybe you want to try to mix the current formula milk with anmum to ease the transition to the new formula milk. I tried that for my little girl and it works. the chances of success is higher, that way. all the best!
I too, switch to Anmum due to the sugary issues. If she likes cold drinks, you can intro her to fresh milk! My son loves them and I sometimes alternate them with UHT milk in tetra paks, works for him as he drinks using the straw.
