One day after school, my security guard tapped on my car window to hand me this box that contained the original Cuddledry apron towel.
T1 was excited (it takes so little to excite kids, don’t you think?) and wanted to open it straight away! What in the world for?! She said she wanted to FEEL the towel and I told her to wait. Guard house to home was only FIVE minutes away but still, she kept asking if she could open the box. *note to self – this kid needed a lesson in delayed gratification.*
When we finally opened the front door, T1 tore the box open and started playing Superman with the towel after reading the instructions and not really paying much attention to it except that she wanted to use the towel. Her way. I told her that it was a special towel for BABIES although from the pictures and instructions, I couldn’t quite comprehend what the benefit of the towel was. All I knew was that I should wash it before testing it out.

Several weeks passed and I completely forgot about the towel! Heh. That’s how long it takes for our laundry to turn over. *hides in shame*
Then one fine day, last week, we finally got to test it. It was HUGE!!! You could fit a dozen new born babies within it!!! See for yourself – the towel spans from my thick neck till my thick ankles…..yes, I know I’m short. But still….
Although T2 is no longer a new born baby, she totally indulged in this bamboo fibred cotton soft velvety towel fabric. It is double layered too! It was very thick, being double layered, and the first thing I noticed was how I didn’t have to WIPE the baby dry per se but just wrapped her up in it and the towel soaked up the moisture from her baby skin.

So I learned how useful the towel was for me. Just bundle the baby up in it, do a little jig and voila, we’re ready for diapers.
But that isn’t the real reason why this apron towel is so special. Now that sure brings back some new born bath time memories!!! Now, why didn’t they inform me about this towel earlier?! It could have saved me getting wet each time I bathed my new born baby. It could have saved baby the chill of being stark naked and wet carried from tub to the changing mat. It could have saved me the stress of wrapping baby up and still worrying if I had her securely wrapped!

Despite no longer being a new born baby, T2 still loves it for its feather soft texture and GUESS WHAT?
