….Talk is cheap….take it with a pinch of salt!
Whilst we’re on the roll on planes and chatty chicks, I thought I’d share how we managed T2’s first plane ride ever. Tee had her 1st plane ride when she was 4 months old. She has traveled more places now than I ever had before I was 30 and that’s really saying something. She was never a good traveler as a kid as she could never sleep on a plane. Once, we thought we’d let her sleep a Melbourne leg by booking a night flight, and despite being upgraded (for free) to First Class, she couldn’t frigging sleep. What’s a mother to do when she herself doesn’t get to revel in her once in a lifetime upgrade to first class on a Boeing 747? Now you know why I’m edgy.
Anyway, we were nervous about T2’s first plane ride and then having to manage not one crying screaming baby but a noisy, questioneering preschooler as well so we brought along the…..the……magic of all magics……the DSi.

That sorted Tee out. One down, another to go. It turned out that T2 hadn’t a single issue about planes and flew like a natural. She must’ve been a pilot in her past life. Look at her eyeing that new toy in front of her that she reaches out to dabble with pretending she’s baby pilot, rotating the lever and then THUD!!! The table falls smack on her head.
WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
No. Only kidding. I (despite being blur and everything else), have much quicker reflexes than that.
And whilst we’re talking about MAS planes, here is the newly renovated interiors of the plane we flew. I loved it. It was so….HAPPY!!! Perfect for welcoming in the Tigress New Year. It certainly cheered my mood (not that it was ever bad to start with) but honestly, it made me extra cheerful. Go MAS!

Oh, and I forgot to add…..Tee kept whinging why she couldn’t sit on a GREEN chair. She really had to have a GREEN chair or moss would grow on her bottom. I told her that the only way she was going to have a GREEN chair was if she asked those already one the GREEN chairs if they would swap with her and NO, I wasn’t going to ask for her.
Once upon a time, I designed buildings and interiors of corporate offices and on the rare occasion, homes. Now, I clean poop and am student of a patience management course. From the drawing board as a London Architect to the realities of Motherhood, I have certainly learned many lessons in humility. And then others.....
To succeed in the corporate world, first succeed with your kid as the happy boss. Seriously.
This blog is about me, Mamapumpkin. A crazy, demented Mom who cares full time, alone, without any help, for an even crazier preschooler AND a baby with a boob addiction problem. *sniff* Someone, please get me a chair.......
I write anything that comes out of my head, mostly without thinking first, which almost always gets me into trouble (according to my husband, also known as the love of my life.......on a good day).
My pet monkeys drive me towards challenge after challenge, 24/7.
Gotta love it.
