Mamapumpkin???

Once upon a time, she designed buildings and interiors of corporate offices and on the rare occasion, homes. Now, she cleans poop and is student of a patience management course. From the drawing board as a London Architect to the realities of Motherhood, she has certainly learned many lessons in humility. And then others.....

To succeed in the corporate world, first succeed with your kid as the happy boss. Seriously.

This blog is about Mamapumpkin: A crazy, demented Mom who cares full time, alone, without any help, for an even crazier preschooler AND a baby with a boob addiction problem.

She writes anything that comes out of her head, mostly without thinking first, which almost always gets her into trouble (according to her husband, whom she considers the love of her life.......on a good day).

Her 2 pet monkeys drive her towards challenge after challenge, 24/7. Day after Day.....and by the way, her parents are Muslim, her in-laws Buddhist, she's Catholic and her Hubs, an Atheist. She's thinking her kids should be Hindu, just to complete the rainbow religion cycle.

Gotta love it.

She'd love to hear from you : Mamapumpkin at gmail dot com

Best accommodation deals online

Tis the end of the year where I do a lot of planning…..like planning next years holidays. We opted out of our annual Chiangmai trip this year because the Hubs wasn’t keen on traveling with T2 so young. I really wish we were going though because T2 has turned out to be a lovely, calm baby. Easy to travel with!

Too late now unless we want to pay top dollar.

Next year we’ll be going to Perth to celebrate Tee’s birthday. We usually alternate Perth and Melbourne every year as we have family both places but this year we missed out because I was so sick pregnant! Bah!

I’ve been dreaming of a 1 month trip to Europe though…….and it will happen hopefully one day soon. We can’t decide if we should take T2 before she’s 2 or wait till she can at least remember something of the trip. Tee certainly remembers her US trip like it was yesterday!

In planning our holidays, I wanted to share with you the best place to scour for great hotel rates although we have friends in many places to stay with for free but still, places like Paris (my favourite city in the world!), we have to book a hotel. And at hotelclub you can Save up to 60% on hotels worldwide.

I’m also keen on going to Singapore soon with the girls as we haven’t been there for more than 10 years. I found hotel rates starting at RM124 per night. That’s very cheap by Singapore standards. It’s not your 5 star Shangri La Hotel but it has clean facilities. After all, all we need is a bed to rest and a bathroom to shower in. The rest of the time, we’d be out SHOPPING visiting kid friendly sites!!!

If you ever need to look for some reliable deals online, especially for Great deals on hotels in the UK, Europe and Australia, I highly recommend hotelclub. Yup, yup…take it from me. Their site is very informative with lots of photographs showing your potential accommodation (although bare in mind, some of these photos could have been taken eons ago) and it tells you mostly everything you need to know, including reviews on each particular hotel. I’ve put a link to them on my left sidebar for your easy linking to them under Google Ads if you are looking for accommodation somewhere in the world.

Happy traveling! And please do come back to let me know how your holiday went!

Wow!! Tee is really a very very lucky girl..got to celebrate her birthday abroad…. we celebrated my girl’s birthday last year in Scotland, as we happened to be there. :)

Speaking of planning for holidays….hmmm, may be should start hinting to Hubby now….all our holiday plans were disrupted this year, thanks to the global level 6 scare!

Ooh…you’re lucky to have family in such nice cities. We’ve never been to Australia although we’re hoping to get there some time next year (fingers crossed!)

Hubby wants to do Gold Coast but I kind of like Perth. What do you think since you’ve been to both parts so much. Appreciate your feedback!
