So.

Tonight. 1st December 2009. I decided that enough was enough.

I was going to do whatever it took to make Tee sleep on her own. WITHOUT me. I made a deal with her that she had to give herself a chance to fall asleep without a crutch (ME) for 10 days. Just 10 days. For goodness sake, she’s FIVE YEARS OLD!!!

She goes to Big School next year!!! How awful that she still needs her Mommy to hug her to bed! C’mon, gimme a break!!!

We started at 730pm. I sent her to our bedroom whilst I stayed outside with T2. The loudest bawling began.  Frequent trips out with every excuse under the sun. More bawling. Swollen eyes. Several hundred threats. Lots of corridor walking. More bawling. Choking. Vomiting. Indian tamil drama. Lots of tears. More excuses - hunger, washroom, thirst. Golf ball eyes. Big, huge, uncontrollable sobs.

She finally passed out 2 hours later. Only because we were out all day playing. Her personal record of loud bawling is 3 hours so we had it good this evening.

I’m sure there will be less crying tomorrow when she realises that…………

I. will. not. budge.

Good luck, Tee. Mommy loves you more than anything in the world.

And just in case you think I’m the meanest Mom on this planet, I was real nice, reassuring her every 10 minutes when she’d walk out that I loved her and she was strong and I knew she could do this blablababla. And no, she did not vomit. She just pretended to.

Note to self: Must photograph Tee’s bulging eyes tomorrow. *evil laugh*
