    Childhood Ambitions

    By bigpumpkin | November 9, 2009

We were driving to dinner last night and teaching Tee what the difference was between a bungalow house, a link house, a town house, an apartment etc. because she was curious and always asks a million and one questions whenever she eavesdrops on our adult conversations.

The Hubs and I were discussing some property where we were passing and then I casually told him, “Oh, that’s the Carat Club’s house” meaning that the house belonged to the CC owner and being architects, we do the property and design talk a lot. The CC house happened to be a nice contemporary minimalist house worth mentioning.

“What’s a carrot club house? Does it have lots of carrots?” Tee asked.

“Yes, lots of carrots…..” we laughed.

“Does it have lots of bunnies there then?” she continued, wondering what exactly went on in that curious house.

“Yeah, lots of playboy bunnies!! Hahaha!!!!” The Hubs and I had a good laugh.

    Then, “What’s a playboy?”

    ALAMAK.

“A boy who likes to play,” I said seriously. I could tell her brain was ticking at a hundred miles thinking of boys playing and feeding lots of carrots to those cute, white little furry bunnies.

“I want to be a playgirl bunny?”

    Heart attack.

Hahaahha!!! I can’t help but burst out laughing on the 2nd last line….. kids are so smart yet so innocent…..

My little girl does say funny things too, but practical stuff like…”why my daddy must always pay so much toll?” Hohoho…..and when I sound my car horn while driving, she would smirk and comment, “why all these people dunno how to drive ah?”
