Mamapumpkin???

Once upon a time, she designed buildings and interiors of corporate offices and on the rare occasion, homes. Now, she cleans poop and is student of a patience management course. From the drawing board as a London Architect to the realities of Motherhood, she has certainly learned many lessons in humility. And then others.....

To succeed in the corporate world, first succeed with your kid as the happy boss. Seriously.

This blog is about Mamapumpkin: A crazy, demented Mom who cares full time, alone, without any help, for an even crazier preschooler AND a baby with a boob addiction problem.

She writes anything that comes out of her head, mostly without thinking first, which almost always gets her into trouble (according to her husband, whom she considers the love of her life.......on a good day).

Her 2 pet monkeys drive her towards challenge after challenge, 24/7. Day after Day.....and by the way, her parents are Muslim, her in-laws Buddhist, she's Catholic and her Hubs, an Atheist. She's thinking her kids should be Hindu, just to complete the rainbow religion cycle.

Gotta love it.

She'd love to hear from you : Mamapumpkin at gmail dot com

Bits and Bobs

  1. The Hubs got a huge pay cut which now sees us being very careful with money again. Clients are not paying despite being wealthy and of royal descent. It is a pain but such is life.
  2. I am dying to go for a little holiday – anywhere! Even PD!!! I missed out on the last organised trip to PD because I was almost due to deliver and the Hubs didn’t want to take any risks. But now I am itching to take off…..I hear PD Avillion is very kid friendly. Who wants to come along?
  3. I am hoping to teach T2 in taking the bottle so that I can have some freeeeeeeeedom. I cannot imagine being tied down for a whole year with a baby stuck to my boob.
  4. I have been dreaming of a life back in the corporate world, I’m not sure why. I love the attention. I’ve done this stay at home mom thing for 5 years now and will probably need to do it for another 5? Gosh…..well, I can still dream.
  5. After Tee’s crying drama of how she doesn’t like her Daddy doing things for anyone else, the Hubs says he is no longer doing anything anymore for anyone as he is so scared to upset his precious little darling. He claims that she takes after me and that I won’t allow him too to do things for other people. That is a farce because the last time I threw a fit was TEN YEARS AGO when he offered to send some girls home in his car. Wouldn’t YOU have thrown a fit too?

I would too!! Avillion PD is wonderful!! We went there last yr when Bryan was 2.5yr, Brandon was 3mths and I was barely preggers. I would love to join you but I’ve resigned to the fact that I’ll be grounded with 3 kids for the next 2 years. Travelling with 3 kids is wayyyyyy too tiring (even to the malls!).

Yup. Avillion is great and nice for kids. They have one pool, which is out of bounds to kids and the other is for all. The pool is also quite shallow. Lots of places to take a walk and just to chill out. Go for it!

MamaP, try Thistle or the Avillion Admiral Cove. Me = can’t afford holidays overseas, so am a ‘Cuti Cuti Malaysia’ supporter. hahaha :)

I find these two more friendly, better value for money, newer (Thistle is the previous Guoman, which has been heavily renovated. I think they are running a promo til end 2009), have better service (but this was back in Aug 09).

But it all depends on your ‘taste’. You chose the super elegant ‘Cameron Highlands Resort’ when you were there. I chose ‘EQ’, wouldn’t pay YTL that kind of money just to stay for 2 nights. ;)
