Last week, Tee was working on her English workbook and came across a page on her family tree. The exercise was to teach family terminology like uncle, grandfather, cousin, sister etc. I tested her to see how far she knew who and who was in our entire family and she was pretty in the know of all her uncles and aunts and who her grandparents were.

There were a few tricky parts where it asked her to fill in the blanks and this is how she did it:
My mother’s mother is my __________. She wrote Nana, instead of grandmother.
My mother’s daughter is my __________. She wrote ME, instead of self or sister.
Out of 15, she only got the above 2 wrong.

What was hilarious though was when I asked her if she had any cousins. She said yes. Interesting…..because she doesn’t. Both my younger brothers, her uncles, are not married and both the Hubs’ siblings are childless (now you know why she is SO SPOILT and is the baby of the entire family, hehe, until this new one comes along!) so where did her cousin appear from, I questioned.

She said that Uncle Ben has a baby and so Aunty Trina is her cousin. Aaarrgghhhh!!!! You guys!!! See what you’re doing to my daughter!! (Uncle Ben is my brother and Aunty Trina is his girlfriend)
