A Mother’s Monologue

If there is one indulgence that the Hubs MUST have, it’s his fortnightly viewing of the Formula One. Before I met him, I didn’t even know what Formula One was. Now I know a little, but since Michael Schumacher retired, I’ve lost interest. Jensen Button is cute though.

Tee and the Hubs used to have these fights over who gets to watch what and out of desperation, the Hubs came out with an ingenious way of making her watch Formula One with him.

So what’s the secret? You blatantly lie to her that Barney is racing inside the car against Mickey Mouse, who’s in the white car and Donald Duck, who’s in the black car, and Baby Bop, who’s in the yellow car……..etc

Of course, to do this, you’d have to learn up your Playhouse Disney Cartoon characters first and preferably the ones your little one loves best.

So in doing that, the Hubs is even forced to get Dizzy, Tee’s dalmation puppy, to be as enthusiastic in watching the F1 race too. See how Dizzy is cheering too?

Desperation calls for desperate measures. Seriously, I would never go as far as to do this. If I want to watch Desperate Housewives, you just shut up and go play with your doll house or something. Leave me alone.
