….Talk is cheap….take it with a pinch of salt!
Many people commend me on the way that I bring Tee up because she is doing so well as a kid but seriously, little do they know that I am a lazy ass mother. It is sheer luck that I have been blessed with a daughter who can hold her own and is resourceful enough to find things out for herself. It really is within her nature to improve herself in every way, and this has nothing to do with me.
For example, on a daily basis, her hobby is actually to open her workbooks to do work. I encourage her to do other things but she has a mind of her own. If she feels like playing, she will play, but if she feels like doing her math, there’s no stopping her. I just have it plain lucky. She even likes practicing her piano. Go figure……my next child will probably be the complete opposite and fail all her subjects in school!
Anyway, I was telling the Hubs last night how impressed I was with Tee that she completed this 300 over pages workbook withing the month and not only that, some of the work was really difficult. So difficult that even I had to really think before I could come up with answers but Tee just breezed through them. Mind you, she didn’t need any help from me.
It works out well. She does her workbooks quietly and I get to blog
I showed him 2 particular puzzles.
Puzzle One:
A page of 5 dogs stacked vertically. 3 clues are given and you are supposed to name all the dogs through a process of elimination. Hero is at the bottom. Rags is in the middle. Paco is under Duke. Where is Fido?
The Hubs couldn’t answer the question, ok? Maybe if given more time, he could have figured it out, but it came so naturally to my clever Tee. Really!!!
Puzzle Two:
Bee is to honey as cow is to__________
3 pictures answers are given below - a bull, a bottle of milk and a hay stack.
Tee had answered it correctly and The Hubs answer? He said, “wait a minute, cow can also be to hay. Cows eat hay too….”
So thank you, God, for blessing Tee with a set of good brains.
Once upon a time, I designed buildings and interiors of corporate offices and on the rare occasion, homes. Now, I clean poop and am student of a patience management course. From the drawing board as a London Architect to the realities of Motherhood, I have certainly learned many lessons in humility. And then others.....
To succeed in the corporate world, first succeed with your kid as the happy boss. Seriously.
This blog is about me, Mamapumpkin. A crazy, demented Mom who cares full time, alone, without any help, for an even crazier preschooler AND a baby with a boob addiction problem. *sniff* Someone, please get me a chair.......
I write anything that comes out of my head, mostly without thinking first, which almost always gets me into trouble (according to my husband, also known as the love of my life.......on a good day).
My pet monkeys drive me towards challenge after challenge, 24/7.
Gotta love it.

this is too funny…I still think that the way you and hubs bring her (almost like an adult) up plays a big role too.
It is all in the daily mundane stuff that she can observe?
