This year, despite booking 4 months early, Malaysia Airlines was already fully booked thus we had to resort to Air Asia. Nothing wrong with Air Asia except that Tee actually enjoys the train ride to KLIA and when we take Air Asia, we usually just take a taxi straight to the LCCT so she skips the train ride. Also, I just have a safer feeling with MAS. Somehow…..despite the fact my uncle worked with them before and I’ve heard many dangerous horror stories. It’s those Air Asia girls…..I don’t like how they are allowed to let their hair go free flow. They also come with a certain attitude that I don’t like so much. I’m generalising though, of course.

Anyway, whilst walking towards the plane, we noticed that the airplane brakes were being cooled with a huge fan and the Hubs went, uh-oh. 45 minutes delayed we were sitting on the plane without explanation, only worried faces convening at the cockpit. Finally when some passengers got out of their seat and headed towards the cockpit, everyone diverged and all was OK. The next thing I knew, we were departing. It did nothing for my nerves.

10 minutes into the flight, we were experiencing a lot of bumpy clouds and Tee absolutely loved it whilst I was literally shitting in my pants. Baggage compartment doors flew open, things at the food section were flying around, I swear, I was not a happy camper. What more, IF the plane managed to land, would the brakes fail us? It was exactly the same plane model as the New York river crash as well. Yikes.

10 minutes before landing, it started to rain!!! What could be worse?! Already we have weak brakes, now we had to land on a wet runway? Pray I did and thankfully, the brakes worked just fine and although delayed, we were happy to be alive.

The entire family had been waiting for more than an hour for our arrival. Next time, we’ll make them call the airport first before leaving the house. And what does Tee do the moment she arrives at the house? She strips off her flying clothes (long sleeved shirt and long pants) and puts on her comfy clothes and off she goes………

Racing up and down the driveway like Lance Armstrong…..

And after about thirty laps, she stll has more energy to run around the garden…..

So tell me, with such an energetic little girl on my hands, why am I still fat?

By 630pm, she is forced to shower. Yes, forced. This girl cannot get enough of her Kong-Kong’s garden and will fight with all her might to stay there all day and all night, as long as she doesn’t have to sleep with the dog. Then came dinner, which she ate heartily and a bit of entertaining the old foggies, then bed. That is our routine in Kota Bharu.
