….Talk is cheap….take it with a pinch of salt!
We went to watch the above at the Actor’s Studio and got to sit right up front on stage itself where we got completely frozen drenched! But the advantage was that we got to sniff first hand the scents of lavender and woody musk from stage.
Everyone else who went for the play were terribly surprised that Tee could understand the script and actually enjoyed it. Their 4 year old kids didn’t. To this day, she remembers lines from the play and talks about it invariantly.
The reason for this is because it was meant for older kids since it was about trees and planting trees plus the whole play was not colourful at all. Boring for a 4 year old but not Tee. She even got the jokes!
I kept having to explain that the only reason Tee understood the script was because she had been featured every year for the last 3 years in the media protesting the Government from cutting down the trees beside our home! She knew the importance of trees and felt strongly about them thus took an interest. Of course, it is also because this girl is an old soul, wise beyond her years, but I didn’t say that
Once upon a time, I designed buildings and interiors of corporate offices and on the rare occasion, homes. Now, I clean poop and am student of a patience management course. From the drawing board as a London Architect to the realities of Motherhood, I have certainly learned many lessons in humility. And then others.....
To succeed in the corporate world, first succeed with your kid as the happy boss. Seriously.
This blog is about me, Mamapumpkin. A crazy, demented Mom who cares full time, alone, without any help, for an even crazier preschooler AND a baby with a boob addiction problem. *sniff* Someone, please get me a chair.......
I write anything that comes out of my head, mostly without thinking first, which almost always gets me into trouble (according to my husband, also known as the love of my life.......on a good day).
My pet monkeys drive me towards challenge after challenge, 24/7.
Gotta love it.
