….Talk is cheap….take it with a pinch of salt!
I am usually a skeptic when it comes to traditional Chinese medicine what with the recent milk scandal in China et al. It has gone horribly wrong before for people I know but it has also worked for some. For me personally, I have gone to the Chinese medicine shop to tell them I had a persistent cough which normal cough mixtures couldn’t cure and they gave me a pill to take. After 2 days, my cough was gone. So that worked. Thankfully, I havent been unfortunate in getting the negative ill effects of Chinese medicine yet.
Recently, I heard from several sources that people have gotten pregnant via this route through taking herbs to warm up the womb to enable stronger pregnancies, meaning that the early foetus actually attaches to the uterus and sticks. Many a time, it doesn’t because our wombs are too ‘cold’. So out of curiousity, I researched some Chinese sinsehs in town and decided on the one that gave the most results to whom I personally know of and went to see him.
The first thing the Doctor said was that I need to stress less and relax about getting pregnant. Makes sense. Then he told me that especially during the time of my period, to not eat fruits and salads on an empty stomach and not to ever drink cold drinks. Because these diets cause the body, womb included, to lose its warmth. If one is healthy, pregnancy shouldn’t be a problem if there are no other medical issues aside like endometriosis, small fallopian tubes, PCOS and other malfunctions of the body. He also advised that during my period, I should cook my food with sesame oil everyday and eat more ginger.
The next step would be for my husband to be checked if his boys are healthy.
If I am following his healthy diet and the Hubs boys are good, but we’re still not getting pregnant, then he would prescribe me some herbs to further warm up the womb. Usually, this has always had a success rate within a few months at maximum.
I personally know of 5 women who have gotten pregnant after taking these herbs. Watch this space.
Once upon a time, I designed buildings and interiors of corporate offices and on the rare occasion, homes. Now, I clean poop and am student of a patience management course. From the drawing board as a London Architect to the realities of Motherhood, I have certainly learned many lessons in humility. And then others.....
To succeed in the corporate world, first succeed with your kid as the happy boss. Seriously.
This blog is about me, Mamapumpkin. A crazy, demented Mom who cares full time, alone, without any help, for an even crazier preschooler AND a baby with a boob addiction problem. *sniff* Someone, please get me a chair.......
I write anything that comes out of my head, mostly without thinking first, which almost always gets me into trouble (according to my husband, also known as the love of my life.......on a good day).
My pet monkeys drive me towards challenge after challenge, 24/7.
Gotta love it.

I personally know people who not only went through the herbal therapy but did accupuncture to balance the ying & yang of their bodies. All I can that it worked!
