….Talk is cheap….take it with a pinch of salt!
In our last trip to the USA not too long ago, we were at a lost with what to do in New York since Tee’s Godfather was so busy that part of our trip, he was actually abroad in Dubai! We were left to be independent tourists and had to find our way about. And even though the Hubs came from New York, that was 10 years ago and all he knew was where to get the best beer. Baby stuff? Forget it.
Lucky for us, we randomly hopped onto a tour bus that we hitched from Times Square and it turned out to be the perfect way to see New York at a glimpse (who wants to do the details with a toddler in tow!). We had an old lady tour guide on the bus who told us the most hilarious stories about New York and although the Hubs and I were cracking up the whole time, most of the other tourists didn’t get the jokes. We figured that English was probably not their mother tongue. It was a really enjoyable introduction to New York despite the heat.
But when we go next time, I’d certainly check in with some online travel guides before venturing out blindly and hoping we’d get lucky again because I’d rather be safe than sorry. If we’re spending so much money traveling all the way to New York, there has to be zero margin for error. Besides, if I planned the trip, I could take advantage of discount tickets for activities in 23 cities like the Knotts berry farm tickets that are available from Trusted Tours and Attractions, just to give you an idea.
Plus, if you signed up for the newsletter from Trusted Tours and Attractions, you can have a chance at winning a $150 Magellan’s Gift Certificate as they are now having a special promotion till the end of August. So there you go. What are you waiting for? If you’re planning a vacation, you know where to go!
Once upon a time, I designed buildings and interiors of corporate offices and on the rare occasion, homes. Now, I clean poop and am student of a patience management course. From the drawing board as a London Architect to the realities of Motherhood, I have certainly learned many lessons in humility. And then others.....
To succeed in the corporate world, first succeed with your kid as the happy boss. Seriously.
This blog is about me, Mamapumpkin. A crazy, demented Mom who cares full time, alone, without any help, for an even crazier preschooler AND a baby with a boob addiction problem. *sniff* Someone, please get me a chair.......
I write anything that comes out of my head, mostly without thinking first, which almost always gets me into trouble (according to my husband, also known as the love of my life.......on a good day).
My pet monkeys drive me towards challenge after challenge, 24/7.
Gotta love it.
