    Accommodation in New York City

    By bigpumpkin | August 21, 2008

In New York, we were lucky enough to stay at Tee’s Godfather’s apartment. He didn’t charge us. He wanted to but we told him that if he charged us, then we’d charge him back for seeing Tee.

Tee’s Godfather was the Hubs best man at our wedding. He is a very smart man. As our wedding was a week after 9-11, many of our friends from New York couldn’t make it as they couldn’t get their planes out of New York. But Tee’s Godfather, knowing how important his role was as best man, camped at the airport immediately after 9-11 and caught the next plane out in that short window of time when New York opened it’s airports before shutting them all down again.

His strategy was to get out of New York, it didn’t matter where the next plane took him. Luckilly for him, the plane he got flew him to Osaka, so that wasn’t too far from KL. We were overjoyed when he called us to tell us he’d made it out.

Because of him, we will always have a home in New York. Do you want to see where he lives? Click here.

Great story. :) That’s so cool he was able to get on a plane right after 9/11 to be in your wedding. That was a really confusing time, and I wasn’t even in New York. I’ve never been to the east coast. I think it would be cool to visit though. I would love to travel a lot more than I do. ;-)
