Advertising Agencies in Malaysia

When I was working as a designer, I met practically every advertising agency there was in town in pitching work to them. It is interesting when you compare advertisement designers to space designers. At the end of the day, we’re all designers - narcissistic, perfectionist, work damn hard and don’t sleep. But with advertisement designers, it’s all about selling a product whereas for us space designers, it’s all about the story of the space - how it makes you feel………….

But at this particular advertising agency that my brother works for, they do this too. In fact, they are renown for their TV commercials that bring out strong emotions in people. Not many people are as talented, I’m telling you. It is almost like making a great movie. If you don’t believe me, try it. Thank goodness, I’m just a space designer. It’s much easier to evoke emotion with space than to make someone’s heart so heavy that they want to be loyal to that brand forever!
