    Mental illness from toddler overdose

    Monday, March 24th, 2008

I’m going nuts. And I know why.
Recently, my good friend from San Francisco invited me to stay with her at the Grand Hyatt in Tokyo for a few days as she was being posted there for work. I’d never been to Tokyo, I’d never been away from Tee and I’d never imagined such a fucking awesome opportunity […]

Hide and Seek with a toddler

    Monday, March 24th, 2008

    xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
A few weeks ago, I drove Tee to visit her great grandmother in Cheras after school. Coincidentally, my little seven year old cousin happened to be there too so Tee had a companion her size to play with. One of the games they played was Hide and Seek as my grandmother has a bungalow with […]

JCo Donuts going down the hole

    Sunday, March 23rd, 2008

    xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
I queued up again for those darn donuts (second and last time) and guess what? It wasn’t worth the wait. The first time I did it, they were good, they melted in my mouth, they were hot from the oven. This time, they were cold, they were smaller than before and they did not jiggy […]

Do you believe in Feng Shui?

    Thursday, March 20th, 2008

    xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
For me, yes and no. Yes, in that a lot of its principles make sense; no, because there are so many cons out there.
I’ve always wanted to bring in a Feng Shui master to see my house but never got round to it. Till last weekend. We brought in this recommended old man who drove […]

Adventures in Babysitting (please welcome my first Guest Post!!)

    Thursday, March 20th, 2008

    xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
Yup, that’s it. Since I’ve been feeling so blah these days, I’ve asked Tee’s Aunty Trina (although Tee pronounces it Aunty Twina) to write her experience babysitting Tee for a whole 7 hours. NON. STOP. I now have new found respect for Aunty Trina because she does not have children and managed to stay alive […]

To divorce or not to divorce

    Thursday, March 20th, 2008

    xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
Lisanne, who has been married for 16 years, albeit a rocky one, has finally realised that her husband is a player. And what more, he is playing with someone in the same circle whom they hang out with. For the longest time, I have hinted that her husband is not the best of mans, giving her […]

    Bath time for oldies

    Tuesday, March 18th, 2008

That would be my in-laws. Recently, my MIL decided that she was getting old and chose not to climb into her bath tub to shower anymore. So they got in a contractor to remove the bath tub and built in a shower room instead. But check this out now! walk in tubs!!! I could really […]

    I need a new watch

    Tuesday, March 18th, 2008

But unfortunately, the watches I like cost more than 12k. BAH! I keep praying and praying that all my friends would put in a hundred bucks each towards this gift of mine……let’s see, that means I’d need at least 120 friends who are willing to give me a hundred bucks. Hmmm……..perhaps I should make a […]

    Schools harrassing mothers

    Tuesday, March 18th, 2008

As if the previous post wasn’t enough bane, we parents even have to look forward to class parties ever so often; each time they complete a concept - like purple, oval or number 5. Whenever these parties are scheduled, your child has to come to school in said colour, have something in said shape and […]

    Show and Tell at school

    Tuesday, March 18th, 2008

My sole purpose of sending Tee to school is so she can get out of my hair. I don’t care if she doesn’t know her ABCs nor her 123s, I don’t care if she eats her school food or not (which surpasses my own cooking by far) and I don’t care if she gets told off, […]

Why turmeric is good for you

    Friday, March 14th, 2008

Heh. I didn’t even know that. I always thought turmeric as just another spice in curries and use it to ‘colour’ marinade fish and chicken but today, I learnt that turmeric has a very useful ingredient in it called Curcumin, which is known for having anti-oxidant, anti-tumour, anti-arthritic and anti-infammatory properties!

Another fun day! A water picnic!

    Friday, March 14th, 2008

Whilst precious princess enjoys another super day out in the sun, Mama is so tired…….
    BUT
I need to thank some wonderful friends that surrounded me today. Sometimes, you don’t have to say much. You may not even have to say anything. Presence is a strong being and today, I had that. Locked in my own world […]

    My Mom’s plumbing nightmare

    Thursday, March 13th, 2008

Last month, Mom had a nightmare experience with a half-past-six plumber who stressed her out till her hair turned white and blew a big hole in her pocket. He came to install a new water pump so that her water pressure would be stronger. He left 4 weeks later with days of screaming, 2am phone […]

    Large memory storage

    Thursday, March 13th, 2008

When I first heard of the memory store, I thought it was a gift store that sold gifts that would bring back memories. Little did I know nor imagine that the memory store is actually a computer peripherals online store! Actually it sells computer memory chips - Fuah! Too technical for my brain! Perhaps the […]

    Kentucky Derby ignorance

    Thursday, March 13th, 2008

Have you ever attended anything like it?
I asked the Hubs today - what the hell is the Kentucky Derby? “It’s like the Ascot.”
    Me - “What’s the Ascot?”
He looked at me with a face that said, “What kind of stupid question is that, don’t you know what pink is?” but what actually came out of his mouth […]

Our fun day at the playground

    Thursday, March 13th, 2008

    Cheeky monkey grin.
Today was a fun day. The weather was glorious, not hot at all, the perfect day for the park. So off we hopped into our new car (no legs on head rest today *wink*) with FOUR bags in tow and a couple of other stuff hanging loose from my body.
    Let’s see, we brought […]

I feel like a lousy mother

    Tuesday, March 11th, 2008

Today, I do. I feel like I’m just not in the mood to be a mother and how can that be? How can a mother possibly not want to be a mother? It’s as good as saying, I don’t want my child today. The thought depresses me so much, I can feel my heart physically […]
