Our trip to New York postphoned
By bigpumpkin | March 31, 2008
So much has changed this year that I seriously wonder why we bother planning anything. Earlier this year, we were set on going to New York and booked our friends in New York to take leave in May/June since we had a rocket launch to catch in Florida. Then I got pregnant and the Doctor advised against travelling to the US since I had a high risk pregnancy. I had already started looking at New York sights to plan our days carefully since time was a constraint. And I found some NYC attractions that looked like just what we wanted.
It’s difficult planning when you’re a stranger to a new city but thankfully, the Hubs IS from New York, so he helped and made me some recommendations. And a great way to see a city if you’re lacking in time is to get on a city tour bus to quickly catch a glimpse of the sights that you do not want to miss. One of the things I absolutely love about New York is their restaurant and retail design. They take so much care in it and design accounts for a big portion of the commercial success of a business. I love it! Here, it’s all about short cuts hence me throwing my design career into the bin.
