Would you work in a call center?

    By bigpumpkin | January 31, 2008

When I was working previously, I got to design some call centers locally. They were big investments as the company had to purchase many workstations, desks, chairs, mirrors, phone lines, furniture for team rooms, chill out rooms, and the list goes on. Then, monthly outgoings were high too as staff needed to be paid, phone calls costed lots of money and great lighting was required.

Working in a call centre is indeed very stressful. You need to answer calls all day and smile non-stop. Worst, you need to be polite and sweet whilst getting abused by angry callers. Or dumb ones. Sometimes you just go crazy and walk out for good.

It is a perpetual problem with call center companies. Thankfully, they now have integrated Call Center VoIP Phone Systems to eliminate one less problem. So the next time you make a call to the bank, think twice and be nice.
