Tee attended a birthday party today and met these two little friends (shown below) for the very first time. They hit it off well and played together without a care in the world. Such innocence.
I have always regretted my losing touch with all the friends I met along the way since I was a toddler and wish someone had instilled in me the importance of staying in touch. It was only when I was old enough to think for myself that I learnt how to stay in touch with my friends but by then, I’d already lost 15 years of friendships. That’s a hefty price to pay!
Thus as a new mother now, I want to teach Tee the importance and joy of keeping friends. Lifelong friends. She makes them easy enough but the challenge is in keeping that bond till the end of time. It does not matter which path each friend takes through their journeys in life but what is important is that they are there for each other with compassion, they are there for each other to laugh and have fun, to pick each other up from hard knocks and are each other’s biggest supporters.
Always giving without expectation. Always loving without envy. Always listening without imposing.
That’s what I want for Tee……

Aww, so sweet! I have only 1 schoolmate which I still keep in touch & visit (that’s bcause she still lives near my mum’s & I make it a point to visit her when I make my visit to mum’s). Hubs on the other hand still has a whole group of his primary schmates which he meet up quite regularly. Even his teachers too. His primary sch HM comes to his clinic for his & his grandchild’s dental probs.
