    Christmas Eve dinner in Chiangmai

    By bigpumpkin | December 31, 2007

Like I said earlier, we left everything of our trip to Chiangmai up to our dearest host. For Xmas Eve dinner, he brought us to the Elvis Presley Restaurant where they had Elvis paraphenalia all over plus some other oldies beyond my time. There was a live band and our resident family Doctor came along and went up on stage to take over the drums. He wasn’t the only one who wanted the limelight though.

Our little Tee also wanted to perform on stage but didn’t dare walk up alone so her Nana had to bring her. She loved it……performing for strangers.

My aunt (ex-model) was brave enough to make the first move to dance and got up, dragged our dearest Thai host and started doing the Christmas cha-cha.

After a few glasses of wine, our dearest Thai host, went up on stage to surprise his Malaysian guests by dedicating a song to us. So my Mom went dancing with the resident family Doctor…….

    .

After a wholesome, spicy and electrifying Christmas meal with Swedish princess cake for dessert - gosh! and there was other cake as well!!! Yuletide Christmas cake, Swedish Chocolate cake…..etc. Lots of wine and lots of spicy food. What a combination, eh? It was no wonder that Tee passed out before the Christmas bells started ringing. It was a cold, brrr…. night and even the dogs were all dressed up with sweaters and scarves!
