The Hubs and his set ways

    By bigpumpkin | November 29, 2007

He’s an old man, really, my husband. Very set in his ways. He would never buy anything second hand apart from property of which it better be just second hand. Everything he owns must be nice and new. I wonder if it has anything to do with boarding school. I am the total opposite of that, always game to purchase second hand items; for history and romance, for a better bargain, for fun!

You know how long we’ve been having this buying car decision? For me, let’s just go somewhere like Used Cars Victoria and call it a day. But for him? Let’s wait….let’s do some research……..let’s wait…..let’s lose out on that possibly brilliant car deal we could have made! Grrrr…….

hahahhaha………you could be right about being in a boarding school. Our boarding houses and beds were not new and we were all in uniforms.

Our pleasure was weekend shopping. The guys spent money on “new” music records, “new” walkmans, “new” football shoes, “new” MU t-shirts….now if only they could get a new dorm too!
