Oops! Miss USA fell on her butt!

    Tuesday, May 29th, 2007

I watched Donald Trump’s Miss Universe 2007 tonight and screamed, “AAAAAHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!” when Miss USA fell on her butt. Ouch.
It clearly hurt but she was so graceful about it and her smile didn’t show after that she had lost an ounce of confidence. Inconsiderate audience for boo-ing her later.
I liked her. But I was happy that […]

    Political Suicide

    Tuesday, May 29th, 2007

Japan’s agricultural minister killed himself. The bloke was about to be questioned and he knew he was guilty.
Hmmm……if only some of our own ministers would follow suit. *evil grin*

    Everything from China is condemned

    Tuesday, May 29th, 2007

Ever since my MIL returned from a holiday in China, she’d been harping on and on about how dirty the way they prepared food was, how they put dogs into cans, how they used infinite amounts of chemicals in anything that can earn them an extra buck, how they fed steroids to pigs and fruit…..etc.
    So………..we’re […]

Ringgit devaluation in 10-15 years time

    Tuesday, May 29th, 2007

Oh My God. Please tell me this is not true.
One advisor to the Prime Minister says: that our Ringgit will be worth half it’s value in the next decade or so.
We are going to be close to another Indonesia!
Either you make tons of money now or you collect your money in other currencies. Or……
    Migrate.
    Let this […]

The lack of stroller and a heroic day

    Tuesday, May 29th, 2007

If there was ever a time I could be more wrong, it certainly was today. I had misjudged the need for a stroller when I brought Tee to the KLCC Aquaria (Tee is on school holiday these two weeks) thinking that if I could carry a 13 kilo toddler all the way from KLCC to The […]

Deportation from the United Kingdom (UK)

    Monday, May 28th, 2007

When I was a student in London, I’d travel in and out of the UK perhaps up to five times a year - trip home to KL, architectural school visit, trip to Italy (to visit ex-boyfriend’s family), and a holiday here and there if funds permitted. All throughout my seven years there, I had never […]

    The Secret

    Monday, May 28th, 2007

Have you all heard about The Secret?
It is all about the Laws of Attraction and how the Universe will give you what you want if you would only believe that you will get it……..
Hmmm…….I’ve never been big on these self-help, get-rich idealogies. I believe that everyone and anyone CAN get rich if they wanted to. […]

    Toddler Headaches

    Sunday, May 27th, 2007

“Not now, Mummy. I have a headache.”
*In case you were wondering what the discolourations are on her face, it is make-up which Tee has put on herself. Without my permission.

Judging a Book By It’s Cover

    Sunday, May 27th, 2007

A few years ago, the Hubs and I moved into our current home but chose to keep our other house, just in case we decided to return living in that sentimental place we first played nookie. We hired a property consultant to find us some tenants and soon enough, he brought us a sweet middle aged Malay couple whom […]

    I’m as sick as a dog…

    Saturday, May 26th, 2007

After 3 weeks of having Tee’s school flu, I woke up this morning coughing out *shock, horror!* blood!
Oh dear, I thought to myself. Can’t avoid the Doctor anymore. I had a fever that I didn’t even feel but the Doctor told me I had one so I took her word for it. I’m all drugged […]

The Hubs and his fucking card!

    Thursday, May 24th, 2007

After a hurried last minute grocery stop because my little princess just CANNOT live without pears and Farley’s Rusk biscuits with milk, we loaded the car boot and strapped our pet monkey in.
Whilst reaching for the Lemonade, feeding Tee her pretzel at the same time and taking out my Ventolin inhaler for a puff before the engine started, […]

    One way! One way!

    Thursday, May 24th, 2007

“Mummy, Daddy’s dwiving on a one way!”
    “One way?”
    Yes, it’s a one way!”
    “Yah, Okay….whatever.”
“One way! One way! It’s a one way!”
“One way street? It’s not a one way street?”
NO! One way….like the aewopwane one way!” (aeroplane runway)
    *roll eyeballs*

    Enforcement and Corruption in Malaysia

    Thursday, May 24th, 2007

I’m not sure to what degree this happens in other cities around the world because I have lived only in London and KL for a long enough period to justify knowing the ins and outs of a city’s soul, but in KL, two things that stick out like a sore thumb is enforcement and corruption. Sure, we have […]

    Poking little orifices

    Wednesday, May 23rd, 2007

If you didn’t already know, Tee and I and the Hubs have been taking turns getting sick. It first started when Tee brought home a bug from school 2-3 weeks ago. Then we got better, then she went back to school, and we got ill again. And the whole cycle just repeated itself every week. […]
