GUESS WHAT? GUESS WHAT? GUESS WHAT??????????????

T asked to sleep in her own bed !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yes! Out of the blue one night, she said she wanted to sleep on HER bed. So the Hubs and I rushed to her bed and started to remove all the junk that was on it (yeah, since she never used it, it became the clothes hanger). We flung everything off as we didn’t want to lose THE MOMENT. You never know when she’d change her mind.

The 1st night was a success. She did wake twice to look for me but after patting her a little, she dozed right back to slumber. After 3 consecutive nights of sleeping in her own toddler bed, the Hubs and I toasted to victory.

I read The Sleep Book by Dr Sears who said that we should allow children to move into their own beds whenever they are ready. No pushing. They will go when they are ready. I was severely depressed after reading that and the Hubs and I were resigned to the fact that we’d be sleeping with T for another 10 years.

But HEY!!! My baby has graduated to her own TODDLER BED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Congrats. It’s always nice to have only ONE person instead of TWO fishing for your boobies in the dark :) How cool for you. I’m doing the happy dance for you. I remember the day my son slept in his own room and bed. I know how excited you’re feeling right now. :)
