    Maisy Party Report

    By bigpumpkin | September 9, 2006

The biggest event of the year finally happened (ours anyway). We were out the door from 9am yesterday and were working tirelessly till midnight. I am recording this so that one day if ever Tee decides to be a teenage rebel and tells me to leave her alone or accuses me of not loving her or decides that she doesn not like her family, I have evidence to show her how happy she was today.

We realised half an hour before the party that we didnt have enough this and enough that (so much for a month of planning), so out I dashed to get the missing party links, back in time for our first guest! We started off with FOOD as the colours on the dining table magnetically drew us…….roti canai, nasi lemak, O’Brien’s assorted gourmet sandwiches, fried noodles (a must for any Chinese birthday), cocktail sausages, mango, strawberries, grapes, rockmelons, watermelon, honeydew melon, cup cakes…..and the MAISY cake. Topped with O’Brien’s gourmet coffee and fresh orange juice.

We jumped right into decorating the MAISY butterflly with glitter glue, punched out shaped animals and crepe paper. And paint which ended up on little hands. So we continued with hand painting of everyone’s little hand as a memento of all the toddlers who attended the party on one big cardboard. We sang Happy Birthday to Tee who was really, really enjoying herself. And continued with other toddler activity songs. We ended with present opening. Then everyone went home with their Maisy goody bags for their toddler naps. What a nice, short and sweet party.

    Perfect!

    Mommy and Daddy are POOPED.
