Gangster in my family
By bigpumpkin | August 24, 2006
who is a mouse, really……
It’s T I’m talking about. Her mannerisms are loud and rambunctious. She doesn’t talk to herself. She yells to herself. There is not a quiet moment when she is awake or around in the same 100 square metres. She sings, she makes up stories in that little head of hers, she orders people around, she shouts for what she wants. So it is not surprising when people tease her if she really is a boy or a girl. The Hubs is convinced there is Gabriel (my family name) gangsterism in her blood.
Today she shouts out loud, “SIT Runner! SIT!” as she slaps her thigh (our neighbour’s huge Golden Retriever, Runner, obeys commands when one slaps their thigh, it’s just the way she was trained….)
“Eat your food NOW! Runner, I said EAT your food, NOW!” T slaps her thigh hard with a stern look on her cutesey face.
“SIT down! NOW! Lie down! I said LIE!” more slaps on her thigh.
All this happens while we’re in our car………..with NO dog.
The last time we visited the neighbours, T was everywhere the dog WASN’T.
It’d be real interesting if my little bossy boots would even dare whimper to Runner the next time we see her. The real test is yet to come…..
